My new project

This one was made with a snap and a felt flower I made that is hot glued to a name tag badge clip.

This one was made with a snap to attach the ribbon to the pacifier and an eyelet to attach the clip to the ribbon.

I decided Monday that I needed a project. So I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and got everything to make these super cute pacifier clips. I figured since I know so many people that are pregnant or have new babies it'd be a nice thing to know how to make for gifts. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. And read the tutorials before you go to the store. I ended up buying all of the wrong stuff yesterday so I had to go back this morning and get more supplies. I made these two as soon as I got home from the store. I think they turned out pretty good.

When Ems and Daddy go to Walmart together.

Emily with her train set and Handy Manny toolbox.

So I am really not feeling the greatest today and my wonderful hubby decided to take Ems to Wal Mart and get me some popsicles and orange juice. When they came home Ems had a couple of things to show me. She is a very girly girl but has a love for all things that go. The other night we were in the garage and she noticed our train set for Christmas. She got very upset because we wouldn't let her have the train so her wonderful Daddy decided to buy her her own train set. And true to Emily fashion she couldn't leave the store with just one toy. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!

Fun in the sun!

So we've been in Houston for a month and a half and we really like it. We are really close to all sorts of museums, aquariums, zoos, water parks, etc. Our favorite thing to do is go swimming in one of the many pools in our neighborhood. It's really nice to be able to drive or walk to the pool whenever we want. The only thing that would make it better would be having my big sisters and their kids here. I will post pictures asap! I'm about to take Ems to the pool before it gets too hot!!!

Weekend Visitors

Mom and the girls before church on Sunday.

Grandma and Emily.

Kailey getting ready to go into the ocean!!!

This past weekend we had some totally awesome visitors. My mom and niece Kailey finally came to visit us!!!! I had a blast spending time with my Mom!! She really is the greatest. I enjoyed watching her squeal like a school girl while she was bowling and boxing on the Wii!! I had a blast shopping with her at Wal mart Saturday morning.(We got stuff for our beach trip) Emily really liked sitting in the ocean with her Grandma and playing in the sand with her cousin Kailey. And I loved seeing Mom get so excited at the thought of going down the lazy river at the water park on Jekyll Island. And of course I "loved" being a backseat driver while Mom drove us home from the beach. But most of all I loved being able to go to church with Mom and hearing her bear her testimony. Kailey had a blast in Primary. I was really sad to see the two of them go home after church. I can't wait to be able to spend four months back home with my family and spend as much time with them as I can!

Mother's Day

I know this is a little late but I wanted to post what my wonderful hubby got me for Mother's Day!!! He is the greatest!!!!! He got me these really cool craft organizing cubes from Michael's and made me a craft desk!!! Lately I've been complaining about not having a space of my own in our home! Our computer room has turned into a Ham Radio room and I sort of got pushed aside!!! But being the wonderful hubby that he is he listened to my complaints and found a solution!! If you look closely you can tell that half of my desk has been taken over by his ham radios!!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Emily and her overflowing bag!!!

Emily putting her eggs in her bag!

So we went to the Easter egg hunt on post yesterday and had a blast! We were so shocked at how well Emily did! As soon as they said the children could start she started crawling and collecting her eggs. She would grab two and put them in her bag. She had her bag overflowing in less than five minutes. It was really nice because they only had the 0-2year olds on one field that was covered in eggs. Last year they said they laid out 42,000 eggs!!! We finished off our day going to a pond on post to visit Daddy who was participating in a Ham Radio Contest. Grandma and Grandpa Thomas came into town so they could see Emily at the Easter egg hunt.

She only sat up in one picture!! As soon as I sat her down she wanted to start crawling!!!
